GMTrade is a decentralized leveraged trading platform built on Solana,  adopting a liquidity pool-based architecture.

We are looking for a senior protocol engineer to own the design and implementation of GMTrade’s core on-chain protocol logic. This is not a generic smart contract role. We need someone who deeply understands perp DEX protocol design: how positions are opened, increased, decreased, and closed; how LP pools act as counterparties to traders; and how price impact, funding fees, borrowing fees, liquidation, and ADL work together to maintain market balance and protocol solvency.

Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain GMTrade’s core on-chain protocol logic on Solana. • Build and optimize smart contract programs using Rust and Anchor. • Work on GM / GLV pool mechanics, including liquidity deposits and withdrawals, pool pricing, share accounting, fee accrual, pool rebalancing, and risk constraints. • Build leveraged trading modules, including position opening, increasing, decreasing, closing, collateral management, PnL calculation, price impact, acceptable price checks, and order state transitions. • Design and maintain protocol state machines for limit orders, take-profit / stop-loss orders, frozen orders, liquidations, and ADL. • Implement and reason about fee and incentive mechanisms, including funding fees, borrowing fees, open / close fees, swap fees, and price impact rebates. • Work on RWA market-specific protocol logic, including trading sessions, high-leverage intraday trading, off-market leverage limits, and overnight borrowing fees. • Validate protocol correctness through invariants, state constraints, boundary conditions, and attack-vector analysis. • Collaborate with keeper, backend, and frontend engineers to ensure consistency between on-chain protocol logic and off-chain execution systems. • Read and debug Anchor / Solana internals when needed, including account constraints, macro expansion, code generation, and runtime behavior.

Requirements • Strong Rust engineering skills and hands-on experience building Solana smart contracts. • Strong experience with Anchor, with understanding beyond basic framework usage. • Solid understanding of Anchor account constraints, code generation, macro expansion, and runtime validation. • Deep understanding of Solana’s account model, PDA, CPI, rent, compute budget, transaction execution, and account locking. • Strong protocol modeling capability, with the ability to turn complex trading logic into clear state machines, constraints, and verifiable state transitions. • Deep understanding of perp DEX or GMX-style protocol mechanisms, including LP pools as counterparties, long / short open interest, price impact, funding, borrowing, liquidation, ADL, and oracle pricing. • Systematic security analysis skills. You should be able to identify protocol invariants, extreme market conditions, manipulation paths, insolvency risks, and boundary-case behavior. • Experience with mainnet smart contract development, deployment, upgrades, audit collaboration, or incident investigation.
