Role
This includes indexing, APIs, risk dashboards, internal tools, analytics, monitoring, and automated services around the protocol. We will use Rust or Golang for backend systems and TypeScript for frontend work. You should be able to build reliable backend systems while understanding enough of the protocol to avoid treating on-chain state as just another database.
You should have
- Proficiency in Rust or Golang, plus TypeScript for backend systems.
- Experience with onchain indexing, RPC, event pipelines, or high-throughput blockchain data.
- Strong database, API, queue, and observability fundamentals.
- Enough DeFi knowledge to understand positions, collateral, PnL, liquidations, funding, and oracle data.
- Taste for correctness and operational reliability.
Strong signal
- You have built production indexers, trading infrastructure, keeper systems, or risk dashboards.
- You can reconcile protocol state precisely.
- You can move fast without producing brittle infrastructure.
Across all roles, we are looking for people who are:
- Low ego, high agency. You care more about getting to the right answer than being right.
- Strong opinions, loosely held. You can argue clearly, update quickly, and commit once a decision is made.
- Comfortable with pressure. This is protocol work; ambiguity, adversarial thinking, and high stakes are part of the job.
- Hard working and intense. This is a small founding team building a category-defining protocol, not a lifestyle company.
- Feedback seeking. You actively want sharper review from strong teammates.
- Security minded. You assume anything valuable will be attacked.
- Mission driven. You believe crypto needs better market structure, and that letting traders short any asset is part of making the ecosystem healthier.
